Beginning August 28, 2023, The Rapid will be expanding its Rapid Connect service in Walker. This service will extend east to the Grand River and south to Richmond Street, providing an additional 5.8 square miles of coverage. The Rapid is committed to enhancing services and providing convenient access to businesses and residential communities that lie beyond the fixed-route system.
Rapid Connect will continue to operate during the current hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday. Riders can continue to use the same fare payment as the fixed routes, including a Wave card, contactless payments, and cash. Paying with a Wave card or a contactless payment ensures a seamless transfer to The Rapid fixed-route system. For more information, please visit The Rapid's website.
