The Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining the major and local street networks, snow and ice removal, storm sewer systems, public drains and ditches, city fleet, city buildings, city parks, non-motorized trails, and street signs. The DPW often assists other city departments with multiple tasks and helps prepare for city events.
