Leaf Recycling

The City of Walker Leaf Recycling Program operates annually from mid-October through mid to late November, weather permitting, and is available to Walker residents only (proof of residency required). Exact dates are announced each year in advance via the city’s website, social media, and local newsletters.

Location

Drop off is located behind City Hall in our Department of Public Works yard as illustrated below. A sign will be posted along Remembrance Rd. NW indicating where to go.

Recyclable Bags

Biodegradable bags can be purchased at the Department of Public Works office. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Cost

$.50 (per bag) or five pack for $2.50

Types of Bags Accepted

  • Biodegradable
  • Plastic bags are not accepted. 
    • Residents will be asked to empty plastic bags at drop off.
